Horizontal fence with WoodCore boards
We have 3 different profiles of WoodCore boards available for horizontal fences:
– RHOMBUS board 67
– solid board 128
- Board - 150
Below are three examples of a horizontal fence with different board profiles. The fence boards on the left are rhombus profile 67, 6.7 cm wide and 5.8 m long. The middle picture shows a fence made with solid board 128, 12.8 cm wide and 2.2 m long. On the far right is a fence made of board 150, 15 cm wide, 4.0 or 2.2 m long.
The maximum spacing between posts is 145 cm. L-brackets must be installed on the left and right side of the posts, and the rhombus board is fixed through the brackets. The screws are not visible from the outside.
The maximum spacing between posts is 110 cm. The fixing is visible from the outside. Screws are fixed through the board into the structure.

Installation of the fence - Rhombus profile
The rhombus profile is 6.7 cm wide and 5.8 m long, and can be cut to the required length. Each post must have an L-bracket on the left and right side for fixing the rhombus board. The rhombus board is fixed from the rear side with stainless-steel screws through the bracket into the aluminium tube in the centre of the profile. The screw is not visible from the outside because the profile has an aluminium tube in the centre. The maximum distance between posts with L-brackets is 145 cm. This spacing is only possible if the L-bracket is installed on both the left and right side of the post. In the composite material, the hole must always be larger than the screw diameter to allow for material expansion.
Example: for a 3.9 mm self-drilling screw, first drill a 3.2 mm hole through the rhombus profile and aluminium, then enlarge the hole in the rhombus profile to 4.2–4.5 mm.
IMPORTANT: Installation of the rhombus board without an aluminium tube in the centre of the profile is not possible. The rhombus profile can only be purchased together with the aluminium tube, which is already included in the price of the rhombus board.
Handrail installation
The handrail is screwed every 50 cm through the handrail into the support tube, from the top downwards into the structure. The screw is visible.
In the WoodCore top rail, the hole must be drilled 1 mm larger than the screw diameter. When screwing, take into account that the material expands.
We recommend a maximum handrail length of 4 m if it is joined.
If the handrail is cut at an angle on both ends, we recommend cutting it at least once along the length (for example in the middle) because of thermal expansion, even if the handrail is shorter than 4 m.
In fence corners leave a 1 mm gap;in the middle, provide an expansion joint depending on the temperature at the time of installation.
Installation of the fence – BOARD 150
Terrassendielen mit einer Breite von 15 cm und einer Länge von 4 m oder 2,2 m können auf die gewünschte Länge zugeschnitten werden. Die Dielen werden von vorne mit Schrauben durch die Diele in die Konstruktion an den Trägern befestigt. Die Schrauben sind auf der Vorderseite daher sichtbar. Bei der Montage ist Vorbohren erforderlich. Das Bohrloch muss 1 mm größer als der Schraubendurchmesser sein. Die Verschraubung erfolgt direkt in der Mitte der Diele, dort, wo sich die Rippe im Profil befindet. Die Pfosten für die horizontale Montage der Dielen dürfen maximal 133 – 140 cm voneinander entfernt sein.
Installation of the fence – SOLID BOARD 128
Solid boards 128 mm wide and 2.2 m long can be cut to any length. The boards are screwed to the substructure from the front – through the board into the structure – so the screws are visible on the face. Pre-drilling is required. The hole must be 1 mm larger than the screw diameter. The screws are placed in the centre of the board where the internal rib is. The hole must be 1 mm larger than the bolt dimension. The screws are directly in the middle of the board. The posts for the horizontal positioning of the boards shall be at a maximum distance of 110 cm.

This profile can be used for transverse or vertical fencing. Choose from the six colours below:
Boards for fences – board 150:
You can choose between seven colour shades and three surface finishes. One side of the board has narrow ribs, the other has wide ribs. Only the Rustic boards are completely smooth on one side and finely ribbed on the other.
Storage
Before installation, WoodCore WPC boards must be stored in a dry and well-ventilated place. The storage surface must be flat and clean. The boards must be fully supported along their length and width. In the case of improper storage, complaints cannot be accepted.

Yes, pre-drilling is mandatory for all profiles. The hole must be 1 mm larger than the screw diameter because the WPC material expands.
No. All existing welded parts on the posts must be removed before assembly – the welded parts are not suitable for screwing on WPC boards.
For transverse placement, the maximum distance between posts is 110–145 cm, depending on the selected profile. If the distance is greater, an intermediate connection can be added up to 180 cm without fixing it to the ground. For larger distances, it depends on the situation whether a new post or a connection to the lower tube needs to be added.
Yes, you can keep the existing metal structure, but you need to check the following before making a decision:
- construction status – is the material still suitable for attaching WPC boards; all existing welded parts on the posts must be removed as they are not suitable for screwing;
- flat rib – the posts must be in the same plane, as the board will adapt to the plane of the construction. We recommend adjusting with a corner brace or a flat profile 10 cm wide along the entire height of the post, screwed onto the existing post;
- the material efficiency – desks are joined lengthwise on the post, so the spacing directly affects the amount of material and waste.

With proper installation, bending will not occur. Key conditions are:
- spacing between supports - Each profile has specified maximum distances between supports; with a larger span, the board does not have enough support and can warp. When installed vertically, you also need to consider how far the board can extend beyond the support.;
- plane of ribs – The joists must be in a plane; the board will adapt to the plane of the construction, so even minor unevenness will affect the final appearance;
- correct attachment – pre-drilling is mandatory; the hole must be 1 mm larger than the screw dimension.
Yes, hidden screwing is possible with transverse installation only for the rhombus profile, which has an aluminum tube inside. For all other profiles, screwing through the board is mandatory, and the screws are visible from the outside.
