Horizontal fence with WoodCore boards
We have 3 different profiles of WoodCore boards available for horizontal fences:
- profile RHOMBUS PROFILE 67
- profile SOLID BOARD 128
- board 150
Below are three examples of a horizontal fence with different board profiles. The fence boards on the left are rhombus profile 67, 6.7 cm wide and 5.8 m long. The middle picture shows a fence made with solid board 128, 12.8 cm wide and 2.2 m long. On the far right is a fence made of board 150, 15 cm wide, 4.0 or 2.2 m long.
The maximum spacing between posts is 145 cm. The left and right corners where the rhombus profile is fixed must be mounted on the posts. The fixing is not visible from the front.

Installation of the fence - Rhombus profile
The rhombus profile, 6.7 cm wide and 5.8 m long, can be cut to any length. Each post must have an L-bracket on the left and right side to fix the rhombus profile. It is fastened with stainless-steel screws through the bracket into the aluminium tube in the centre of the profile, from the back side. The fixing is not visible from the front thanks to the aluminium tube inside the profile. The maximum spacing between posts with L-brackets is 145 cm and is only possible when the brackets are mounted on both sides of every post. In composite material, the hole must always be larger than the screw diameter to allow for expansion.
Example: for a 3.9 mm stainless-steel screw, drill a 3.2 mm hole into the aluminium tube, then enlarge the hole in the rhombus profile to 4.2–4.5 mm.
WARNING: installation of the rhombus profile without the aluminium tube in the centre is NOT possible! Therefore, the rhombus profile cannot be purchased without the aluminium tube.
Handrail installation
The handrail is screwed every 50 cm through the handrail into the support tube, from the top downwards into the structure. The screw is visible.
In the WoodCore top rail, the hole must be drilled 1 mm larger than the screw diameter. When screwing, take into account that the material expands.
We recommend a maximum handrail length of 4 m if it is joined.
If the handrail is cut at an angle on both ends, we recommend cutting it at least once along the length (for example in the middle) because of thermal expansion, even if the handrail is shorter than 4 m.
In fence corners leave a 1 mm gap;in the middle, provide an expansion joint depending on the temperature at the time of installation.
Installation of the fence – BOARD 150
Board 150 is 15 cm wide and 4.0 or 2.2 m long can be cut to any length. The boards are screwed to the substructure from the front – through the board into the structure – so the screws are visible on the face. Pre-drilling is required. The hole must be 1 mm larger than the screw diameter. The screws are placed in the centre of the board where the internal rib is. For horizontal installation, the posts must be spaced a maximum of 133–140 cm apart.
Installation of the fence – SOLID BOARD 128
Solid boards 128 mm wide and 2.2 m long can be cut to any length. The boards are screwed to the substructure from the front – through the board into the structure – so the screws are visible on the face. Pre-drilling is required. The hole must be 1 mm larger than the screw diameter. The screws are placed in the centre of the board where the internal rib is. The hole must be 1 mm larger than the bolt dimension. The screws are directly in the middle of the board. The posts for the horizontal positioning of the boards shall be at a maximum distance of 110 cm.

Boards for fences – board 150:
You can choose between seven colour shades and three surface finishes. One side of the board has narrow ribs, the other has wide ribs. Only the Rustic boards are completely smooth on one side and finely ribbed on the other.
Storage
Before installation, WoodCore WPC boards must be stored in a dry and well-ventilated place. The storage surface must be flat and clean. The boards must be fully supported along their length and width. In the case of improper storage, complaints cannot be accepted.
