Vertical fence with WoodCore boards
For vertical fences we offer four different WoodCore profiles:
- profile SOLID BOARD 57/32
- profile SOLID BOARD 100
- profile SOLID BOARD 128
- profile RHOMBUS PROFILE 67
Below you can see four examples of vertical fences with different board profiles. On the left there is a display fence made from solid boards with a face width of 5.7 or 3.2 cm and a length of 5.8 m. Next to it is a fence with solid boards 10 cm wide and 5.8 m long. The third example uses solid boards 12.8 cm wide and 2.2 m long. On the far right you can see boards of the rhombus profile, 6.7 cm wide and 2.8 m long.
Maximum spacing between horizontal rails is
100 cm. You can install the board with the 57 mm or the 32 mm side to the front. The fixing is hidden.
Maximum spacing between horizontal rails is

Maximum spacing between horizontal rails is 110 cm. Angle brackets must be mounted on the horizontal tubes; the rhombus profile is fixed through the bracket. The fixing is hidden.
Characteristics of fixing the boards to the structure:
The minimum screw offset from the cut edge of the board is 3 cm. On structures mounted on a slab (balcony, courtyard fence) the maximum screw offset from the cut edge is 15 cm. On structures mounted laterally to the slab (balcony) the maximum screw offset from the cut edge is 10 cm.
Fence installation – profile SOLID BOARD 57/32
The 57/32 profile can be installed with the 5.7 cm or the 3.2 cm side facing outwards. The screw should be approximately two thirds of the profile depth. The standard length of the profile is 5.8 m, but it can be cut to any required length. It is fixed with stainless-steel screws through the aluminium tube from the rear side, so the screws are not visible. A special feature of this profile is that the hole in the composite material is drilled smaller than the screw, and in the steel structure larger, to allow for material expansion. The maximum spacing between posts is 150 cm, regardless of fence height. The maximum distance between horizontal rails is 100 cm.
Fence installation – profiles SOLID BOARD 100 and SOLID BOARD 128
The WoodCore WPC board for vertical fences – solid board profile – is 5.8 m long and can be cut to any length. The board can also be rounded or cut into any desired shape, as it is worked in the same way as wood. The recommended gap between boards is 0.5–3 cm. Overlapping boards is also possible, by mounting boards on both sides of the structure. The maximum spacing between posts is 180 cm for fences up to 150 cm high. For higher fences the maximum spacing between posts is 150 cm. When designing the steel structure, follow professional guidelines for load-bearing capacity.
The screws are visible from the front, fixing from the front side is mandatory. Where the board is fixed into a steel tube, a larger hole than the screw diameter must be pre-drilled to allow for temperature-related expansion. The choice of screw depends on the type of structure.
Drill the hole in the WoodCore board 1 mm larger than the screw.
Fence installation – RHOMBUS PROFILE
The rhombus profile is 6.7 cm wide and 5.8 m long and can be cut to any length. It is fixed with stainless-steel screws through the post into the aluminium tube in the middle of the profile from the rear side, so the screw is not visible from the front. The maximum distance between the posts with L-brackets is 145 cm. The hole in the composite material is always larger than the bolt due to expansion.
Example: for a 3.9 mm stainless-steel screw, drill a 3.2 mm hole into the aluminium tube, then enlarge the hole in the rhombus profile to 4.2–4.5 mm.
WARNING: installation of rhombus boards without the aluminium tube in the middle of the profile is NOT possible. The rhombus profile can only be purchased together with the alu tube, which is already included in the board price.
Handrail installation
The handrail is screwed every 50 cm through the handrail into the support tube, from the top downwards into the structure. The screw is visible.
Drill a hole in the WoodCore handrail 1 mm larger than the screw. Keep in mind that the material expands.
We recommend a maximum handrail length of 4 m if it is joined.
If the handrail is cut at an angle on both ends, we recommend cutting it at least once along the length (for example in the middle) because of thermal expansion, even if the handrail is shorter than 4 m.
In fence corners leave a 1 mm gap;in the middle, provide an expansion joint depending on the temperature at the time of installation.

Storage
Before installation, WoodCore WPC boards must be stored in a dry and well-ventilated place. The storage base should be flat and clean. The boards must be fully supported along their length and width. In case of improper storage, complaints cannot be accepted.
