METHODS OF ATTACHMENT
Installation of vertical fence - profile solid board 57/32
The 57-32 profile can be installed to a width of 5.7 cm or 3.2 cm, where the screw must be approximately 2/3 the depth of the profile. The standard length of the profile is 5,8 m, but it can be cut to any length. It is fastened with RF screws through the pipe from the rear, so that the screws are not visible. The special feature of this profile is that a hole smaller than the screw is drilled into the composite material and a larger hole is drilled into the structure to allow the material to expand. The maximum spacing between the posts is 150 cm, regardless of the height of the fence. The maximum distance between the support rails is 100 cm.
Installation of vertical fence - profile solid board 100 and solid board 128
WoodCore WPC vertical fence board can be cut to any length. The board can also be rounded or made into any shape as it is treated like wood. The recommended spacing between the boards is 0.5cm to 3cm. It is also possible to overlap the boards - mounting from both sides. The maximum spacing between posts is 180 cm for fences up to 150 cm high. For taller fences, the maximum post spacing is 150 cm. When constructing the structure, please follow the professional guidelines for the load-bearing capacity of the structure. The screws are visible from the front side - screwing from the front side is mandatory. Where the board is screwed into a metal tube, a larger hole than the screw must be drilled to allow for temperature differences in the material. The choice of screw depends on the type of construction. A hole 1 mm larger than the screw should be drilled in the Woodcore board.
Installation of the horizontal fence - rhombus profile 67
The 6,7 cm wide, 5,8 m long rhombus profile can be cut to any length. The post shall have a left and right L-bracket for fixing the rhombus. To be fixed with RF screws through the post into the aluminium tube in the centre of the rhombus from the rear. The only reason that the screw is not visible from the front side is because of the aluminium tube in the centre of the profile. The maximum distance between the posts with L-brackets is 145 cm, which is only possible when the angle is left and right on the upright. The hole in the composite material is always larger than the screw due to expansion.
Example: For a Knipping 3.9 screw, drill a 3.2 mm hole through the rhombus profile and the aluminium, then enlarge the hole in the rhombus profile to 4.2–4.5 mm.
WARNING: INSTALLATION OF THE RHOMBUS PROFILE WITHOUT THE ALU PIPE (in the centre of the rhombus) IS NOT POSSIBLE! Therefore, it is not possible to buy a rhombus profile without an aluminium tube. The rhombus profile can only be purchased with the aluminium tube and this is already included in the price of the rhombus profile.
Installation of the horizontal fence - profile board 150
Terrace boards 15 cm wide, 4 m or 2.2 m long can be sawn to any length. The boards are screwed to the brackets from the front - through the board into the structure. The screws are therefore visible on the face. Pre-drilling is required for assembly. The hole must be 1 mm larger than the screw diameter. The screws are screwed directly in the middle of the board where the rib is in the profile. The posts for the horizontal positioning of the boards must be at a maximum distance of 133 - 140 cm.
Installation of the horizontal fence - solid board 128
Solid boards 128 mm wide and 2.2 m long can be cut to any length. The boards are screwed to the substructure from the front – through the board into the structure – so the screws are visible on the face. Pre-drilling is required. The hole must be 1 mm larger than the screw diameter. The screws are placed in the centre of the board where the internal rib is. The hole must be 1 mm larger than the bolt dimension. It is screwed directly in the middle of the board where the rib is in the profile. For horizontal installation, the posts must be spaced a maximum of 110 cm apart.
Fixing the handrail
The handrail is screwed every 50 cm through the handrail into the support tube, from the top downwards into the structure. The screw is visible.
A hole 1 mm larger than the screw must be drilled in the Woodcore handrail. When screwing, take into account that the material stretches.
We recommend a maximum handrail length of 4 m if it is joined.
Ifthe handrail is cut at an angle on both sides, we recommend cutting it in the middle, even for shorter lengths.
In the corners leave a 1 mm gap;in the middle, provide an expansion joint depending on the temperature at the time of installation.
Facade installation
For the façade, the insulation is first made, and a 4 cm thick, 6 cm wide larch batt is screwed to it at 70 - 80 cm intervals. A 2,6 cm thick rhombus profile + 0,5 cm thick fixing system shall be fixed to it. The total thickness on the insulation is 7,1 cm, which you must take into account to be in the same plane with the rest of the façade.
If the insulation is in the same plane as the WoodCore exterior, the insulation must be thinned by 7,5 cm or more at this point. A 2 mm thick alu sheet shall be screwed around the windows before the insulation.
Installation is carried out in the following order:
- First, a mounting plate is attached to the back of the profile
- The first façade batten shall be fixed below and above, each subsequent batten shall be hooked behind the previous one and fixed above only. This way, the façade is flexible on one side and can shrink and stretch in the face of weather changes, while always remaining straight.
It is NOT possible to install the rhombus profile without the aluminium tube (in the centre of the profile). The rhombus profile can only be purchased together with the aluminium tube, which is already included in the price of the rhombus profile.
Installation of a partition wall - KUBO profile
The KUBO partition wall system is installed vertically on a pre-prepared structure. The 80 × 42 × 5000/5800 mm profile has an aluminium profile inserted, which is fixed from the rear, depending on the chosen layout. Depending on the mounting position, raw or anodised aluminium shall be inserted into the KUBO profile. In the case of open installation, the cap is not sufficient to prevent the ingress of moisture into the moulding, anodised aluminium must be used. Mounting is possible on a visible width of 4,2 cm or 8 cm. The slats shall be mounted on horizontally mounted, powder-coated aluminium tubes, the spacing between the slats is optional. The maximum spacing between horizontal pipes without accessories is 120 cm. If the span of the structure is greater than 120 cm, a 20 × 60 × 2 mm aluminium tube shall be inserted in the KUBO batten, in which case a span of up to 260 cm between the horizontal beams is permitted.
