WPC facade boards - durable facade cladding without painting | Roksal
WoodCore WPC facade boards
Do you want a façade that doesn't need to be varnished and painted to keep its original look? WoodCore WPC façade boards are composed of bamboo wood and HDPE plastic and, because they are a wood composite, they do not need to be painted or varnished. WPC boards do not split and do not disintegrate. And we offer a 15-year warranty on the wood composite. For a uniform appearance, we recommend periodic cleaning, especially on parts not exposed to rain.
WoodCore WPC wood composite façade installation
Rhombus profile
For the façade, the insulation is first made, and a 4 cm thick, 6 cm wide larch batten is screwed to it at 70 - 80 cm intervals. A 2,6 cm thick rhombus profile + 0,5 cm thick fixing system shall be fixed to it. The total thickness on the insulation is 7,1 cm, which you must take into account to ensure it is in the same plane with the rest of the façade.
If the insulation is in the same plane as the WoodCore exterior, the insulation must be thinned by 7,5 cm or more at this point. A 2 mm thick alu sheet shall be screwed around the windows before the insulation.

Installation is carried out in the following order:
- First, a mounting plate is attached to the back of the profile
- The first façade batten shall be fixed below and above, each subsequent batten shall be hooked behind the previous one and fixed above only. This way, the façade is flexible on one side and can shrink and stretch in the face of weather changes, while always remaining straight.
The hole in the composite material is always larger than the screw due to stretching.
Example: For a Knipping 3.9 screw, drill a 3.2 mm hole through the rhombus profile and the aluminium, then enlarge the hole in the rhombus profile to 4.2–4.5 mm.
It is NOT possible to install the rhombus profile without the aluminium tube (in the centre of the profile). The rhombus profile can only be purchased together with the aluminium tube, which is already included in the price of the rhombus profile.
Kubo
Can be mounted to a width of 4.2cm or 8cm. The substrate on which the slats are mounted must be painted black.
Mounted on horizontally fixed powder-coated aluminium tubes 20×60×2 mm.
The appearance of the façade (the arrangement of the boards) depends on the creative idea of the individual.
Solid board - 100
Solid boards can be installed horizontally or vertically on prepared insulation, which must be finished with reinforcing mesh and adhesive, and painted black. Larch battens measuring 4 × 7 cm are fixed onto the insulation at 70–80 cm intervals, which provides façade ventilation. They are screwed into the brickwork. For a vertical board layout, additional horizontal battens 2 × 7 cm are installed at a spacing of up to 50 cm, forming a grid. If you want the decorative section (with solid boards) to be flush with the standard façade, the insulation in that area must be reduced by at least 6 cm. In that case, insulation with the same or a similar thermal performance is used. Around windows and doors, a black metal sheet 2 mm thick is installed, fixed to a wooden substructure, onto which the boards are then fixed. The total thickness of this section is approx. 1.5–2 cm. The solid boards are fixed from the front with visible RF shiny screws. Finishing details can be done with solid boards (visible fixing) or other solutions as desired.

Frequently Asked Questions
No, we do not sell WPC facade panels and will not be offering them. The panels do not provide adequate facade ventilation, which can lead to moisture buildup and mold on the wall. We offer rhombus, kubo, and full 100 board profiles, which are mounted on a substructure with guaranteed ventilation.
Profiles vary in appearance, mounting method, and installation options.
The rhombus profile is a slim board with an aluminum tube in the middle and concealed fastening – the screws are not visible from the outside.
The kubo profile can only be mounted vertically. The spacing between the boards is arbitrary, and the profile can be rotated as desired, allowing for great design freedom.
The full board 100 has visible coiling on its face. It can be mounted horizontally or vertically, and you can also cut it to width.
For facades with multiple windows or openings, we recommend the rhombus profile or a full board, as finishing at the openings is simpler. The Kubo profile has the greatest overall thickness on the insulation, which requires a special detail at openings that is technically demanding and aesthetically problematic. Kubo is best suited for large, continuous surfaces without openings – or for facades where Kubo is installed only in the recessed areas between windows, while the facade around the openings is a darker shade.
We recommend that a thinner insulation with an equivalent thermal value be planned for the facade section with WPC cladding, so that the WPC section remains flush with the rest of the facade. It is advisable to coordinate this detail with the architect during the planning phase.
Depending on the profile: full board 100 takes up approx. 6 cm, rhombus approx. 7.5 cm, Kubo 8.2 or 12 cm depending on the installation method. This should be taken into account during planning so that the WPC part of the facade is flush with the rest of the facade.
Depending on the profile and mounting direction:
For a rhombus profile, the larch battens should be spaced 70–80 cm apart. For vertical installation, horizontal battens are also added at intervals of 70–80 cm—a grid is formed.
When using a full 100 mm board with horizontal installation, the spacing between vertical battens is up to 50 cm. With vertical installation, the vertical battens are spaced 70–80 cm apart, and horizontal battens are added with spacing up to 50 cm, creating a grid.
With the kubo profile, the aluminum tubes are spaced up to 100 cm apart.
WPC boards do not turn gray. The color fades by 5–10% over time.
The façade must be cleaned periodically. Where the boards are exposed to rain, most of the dirt will wash off on its own. However, in areas under eaves or roofs, rain does not reach the surface, so dust and airborne dirt there necessitate more frequent washing.
With a full board of 100, the gap between boards is usually 2 mm. With the diamond profile, the gap is 8 mm – the facade clips are visible with a larger gap. With the cube profile, the gap is arbitrary, and the profile can be rotated as desired.
Yes, mounting on an existing facade is possible. We screw into brick, concrete, or other building materials. The total thickness must be considered, which depends on the chosen profile – a full 100mm board adds approx. 6 cm, rhomb adds approx. 7.5 cm, and kubo adds 8.2 or 12 cm. This must be taken into account in the details around windows and entrances.
WoodCore WPC boards for ROMB façade
Advantages of WPC facade boards
WPC facade boards combine the warmth of natural-looking wood with the durability of a composite material. Since they do not need painting or oiling, maintenance costs are minimal and the façade remains attractive for many years.
Why choose WPC boards for facade cladding
Facade cladding made of WPC boards protects your home from moisture, sun and temperature fluctuations. The surface does not peel or crack, so the appearance of the façade is always uniform. Several colour shades are available to adapt to different architectural styles.
See examples of implementations in our WPC façade gallery.
